March 12th - 15th 2008
| The Ripley Church of England Primary School will be performing their
33rd year of pantomime this March. The event which has been
sponsored by Drakes Restaurant and is a production of Sleeping
Beauty, written by Richard Lovelock and directed by Jamie
Hogg. |

| This much
loved community event has been entertaining the village
since 1974. Many of the school's pupils and their parents
have been treading the boards through the years with help
from the budding thespians of Ripley village. |
The lead roles in this year's
Sleeping Beauty will be performed by Karen Collis, a Year 2
parent and her first time on stage as Sleeping Beauty along
with Eleanor Balchin, also a Year 2 mum, as the prince! Look
out for 'Trinny and Susannah' who will add the trademark pantomime
twist.
The Ripley School pantomime
has always drawn in the crowds. With a total of 4 evening performances
and a Saturday matinee performance, it is set to be a sell-out,
drawing an audience of approx 600 people both local and not
so local! The pantomime has always been a hugely popular event
for the village and surrounding areas and helps to raise much
needed funds for the school whilst having fun and lots of laughs
at the same time!
