School
float wins first prize in the Annual Ripley Bonfire Event
The school won first prize for our float,
which is great considering our last win was back in 2002 so it
was a long time coming!!
Thanks to the ever talented Jacky Prevost,
mum of Jack le Grange in Blue Class we put together a float that
covered the Ripley School pantomimes that have been performed
in the past. Scenery was painted in theme and the children of
blue class dressed up in costume along with some of the mums and
dads.
The Goddards donated the timber used to make
the frame, Jacky was project leader and float designer, Gordon
Haines was the driver and the blue class parents provided the
muscle power to put the float together.
Our 'missing'
campaign was publicised with boards fitted on to the back of the
float and were also carried by the float Marshalls.
