Parent & Staff Association

Ripley School is lucky enough to have an active Parent and Staff Association. All parents and staff at the school are automatically members and we try to meet at least once a term at school.

We organise three main fund raising events in the year, one per term. These are the Christmas Fair, the Pantomime in March and the Summer Fair. We also run several smaller events such as cake sales, car boot sales, etc. The PSA also organises several social events such as bowling, pub evenings, meals out, theatre visits and a barbecue at the end of the summer term.

The PSA is responsible for paying for and running the school swimming pool which we recently refurbished, as well as paying for the running of the photocopier, visiting theatre groups, providing trees and plants and anything else the school needs but cannot afford from their budget. We also provide volunteers to help with gardening, preparing a float for Ripley Bonfire night, organising the leavers’ party etc.

Joining the PSA can be a lot of fun as well as hard work. It is an opportunity to meet other parents, have a say in how our money is spent and get a lot of satisfaction from raising so much money for such a worthy cause and seeing our children enjoying the benefits.
