Learning For Life

Ripley Primary School is a happy, vibrant and fun place of learning where parents play a vital role in their child’s education. There are numerous ways for the parent community to engage with the school:

  • Regular help with reading and homework
  • Attendance at school plays/concerts and open sessions
  • Helping in and around the classroom through reading with the children,
gardening, assisting with art projects, helping with school theme days and
    chaperoning school trips
  • Planning events and raising much needed funds through participation
in the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) (see separate PTA tab)
  • Coaching and teaching after-school clubs
  • Actively participating in governor-led parents forums and attendance at parent consultations
  • Serving as a Parent Governor

Parents are welcomed into an inclusive - and fun! – community. Parents’ evenings – for both Mums and Dads – are also organised throughout the year. If you have a question or concern, chances are that you can always find a fellow parent who will be there to lend a supportive hand.
